Re: Sustaining the Access Narrative
As we enter the next policy cycle, it is essential that all external communications remain disciplined, values-forward, and aligned with our long-standing messaging priorities. Recent discourse has shown a renewed interest in costs of care. DO NOT ENGAGE or PERPETUATE that narrative.
While understandable, this line of thought introduces unnecessary math and inquiry into our current system that functions best when discussed in terms of access, coverage, and commitment.
Remember, the access narrative invites funding. Costs invite scrutiny.
Scrutiny compromises performance metrics and, thusly, quarterly bonuses including the Executives retreat in Jamaica.
Accordingly, all outward-facing materials should continue to emphasize access to care, not the costs of care.
